Sharing God's Love
This year marks the centenary of the end of the First World War, a conflict that profoundly changed the western world. The church was vitally involved, both on the home front, and also in the trenches where many chaplains bravely supported men on the front line.
Throughout the month of November, there will be an exhibition in Marden Parish Church that looks at the role of the Church 100 years ago. Including pictures and contemporary writings, we explore what it would have been like for people in that era, the conflicting views on whether or not the war was justified, and the lives of such notable chaplains as Tubby Clayton and Woodbine Willy.
